From Early Adopter to Trailblazing Atmos Mixer
Based in Los Angeles, Jennifer began her career at Studio 770, working on classical and jazz recordings after earning her B.A. in Audio Engineering from CSUDH. Over time, she expanded her expertise, engineering and mixing for major labels like TDE, Roc Nation, Warner Music, and Spotify’s Studios LA, where she gained experience working with high-profile artists and projects. In 2021, Jennifer joined the EngineEars Dolby Atmos Certification Course, making her one of the first engineers to become certified in immersive audio by the platform.
Since her certification, Jennifer has become a prolific Atmos mixer, working with artists such as Rapsody, UMI, and Dixson. Her journey exemplifies the impact of EngineEars’ resources and educational initiatives on advancing engineers’ careers, particularly in cutting-edge technologies like Dolby Atmos.
Empowering Others through Education and Community Engagement
Jennifer’s commitment to the audio engineering community extends beyond her mixing work. With the support of Women’s Audio Mission (WAM), she hosted her very own Dolby Atmos mixing workshop, sharing her insights with up-and-coming engineers. She also embraced a teaching role within the EngineEars community, offering guidance and expertise to students in the Dolby Atmos Certification Course, helping to shape the next generation of immersive audio engineers!
As an active member of She Is The Music, Jennifer was selected as an assistant instructor for the MixHER program in Nashville, a Dolby Atmos training initiative hosted by EngineEars in partnership with UMG, She Is The Music, Bose, and The Recording Academy. Through this program, Jennifer worked directly with female engineers, empowering them with the skills and confidence to excel in the industry.
