Steps To Apply

PHASE 1

Application Submission Period | March 17th - March 28th

Visit engineears.com/MixHer to review the Program Application Guidelines and apply. As part of the application process, you will be asked to submit a working portfolio outlining and highlighting your experience, skills, and passion for audio mixing and/or mastering. Applications must be received by 11:59:59 P.M. PT on March 28th, 2025. Program Application review will begin on March 31st, 2025 and end on April 1st, 2025

PHASE 2

Dolby Atmos Online Course | April 7th - April 27th

Applicants who meet all the selection criteria will be notified via the email address used to apply on or around April 2nd, 2025.  Beginning April 7th, 2025, selected Applicants will have until April 27th, 2025 to complete the 38-hour, self-training course provided by Dolby Labs & EngineEars.

PHASE 3

Award  | May 7th at 12:00:00 P.M. PT

Applicants who have completed the 38 hour self-training course and achieved a grade of 85% or higher will receive an Award opportunity via the email used to apply at 12:00:00 P.M. PT on May 1st, 2025. The first 15 applicants to claim an Award prior to 12:00:00 P.M. PT on May 2nd, 2025 (or when the 15th Award is awarded, whichever is sooner) will receive a 4 day/3 night trip to Nashville, TN to apply their newly developed skills in real time at the state of the art East Iris Studios.

Who can apply for MixHer?

Audio engineers who are female or identify as female, are at least 21 years of age or older and reside in the 48 contiguous U.S. + D.C.

How do I register for this workshop experience?

You can apply by visiting engineears.com/mixher and submitting the required information before the deadline (March 28th, 2025).

What are the technical requirements for the course?

Participants need a MacBook with at least Mac OS 10.14.6 or newer, Pro Tools Studio (or Ultimate), and headphones.

What is the selection process for MixHer?

The selection process is divided into three phases.  Each phase requires applicants to meet certain criteria including passing a self-training course with a grade of 85% or higher and claiming an Award on a first-come, first serve basis.

Can I still participate if I don't have an EngineEars account?

Yes, you can sign up for a free EngineEars account at engineears.com or choose to participate in the online course without registration.
